The Fontaine-Aquanox SERIES 92 gate is designed to control and/or isolate water flows in channels. Its unique sealing system enables the gate to seal in both directions. The maximum allowable leakage rate is 0.1 U.S. gpm per foot of perimeter (1.25 l/min per meter) in seating and unseating head conditions (head conditions taken as the height of the slide).

 

 

 

 

The SERIES 92 Stop Plate frames are manufactured from stainless steel. The slide can be offered in two versions: stainless steel or aluminium. The Fontaine-Aquanox design allows great mounting flexibility, the result being a light weight and easy-to-install stop plate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The stainless steel frame on the SERIES 92 Stop Plate is generally designed for installation in an existing channel or embedded into the walls of a new channel. It is also available in flange back design for installation on a concrete wall at the end of a channel. The bottom section is available in a flush-bottom version (embedded or wall mounted) or surface mounted when installed in an existing channel. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The slide consists of a stainless steel or aluminum plate reinforced with horizontal members welded to the plate, making it a solid single piece.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

The side seals of the SERIES 92 Stop Plates are unique. They consist of EPDM lip seals and low friction UHMWPE guide bars for ease of operation. The seals have the same excellent low leakage rate in both directions. They do not require any pre-compression due to its unique lip seal concept which positively seals along the side of the slide when water head increases.These seals allow no metal to metal contact. These gates are easy to operate even for larger sizes due to the UHMWPE guide bars.
